Spring

Where we are, Spring is trying so hard to peek out of it’s protective shell. But it gets sidetracked by crazy weather here and perfect sunny days there. But robins are singing, the cardinals are nesting and even the squirrels are bouncy with anticipation. I’ve been looking through my collections, trying out a ballet barre project from PIXIE FAIRE, and hoping to start some ballet costumes with there own hand knit legwarmers…

New inspiration is blossoming and I see blue and coral everywhere! ๐Ÿ™‚

I hope that you’re ready for some lovely spring dresses and jackets that are perfect to ward off the chill of these iffy SPRING days!

Dress Form

I love LIberty Jane patterns! I am trying to see if I can make a dress form for my dolly bedroom that I am attempting. I found some cute material that matches my color themes, but I wish that they were a bit thicker…do you think that plain cotton would work if I used it on the forms? I may have to add a thin interfacing to the pieces so it will stand the test of time.

I have a really good jewel to go on top!! So excited…

Minions Complete!

Minions Complete!

Wow! I thought when I took on this endeavor that it would be a piece ofย cake…but it took a lot longer than I thought to complete everything! Cousins Peri and Everette wanted to dress up alike for Halloween and now their costumes are complete…from their black shoes to their black hair, they are ready to aid Gru in fighting evil! ๐Ÿ™‚

Everything was made at home…their hoods, their goggles, their outfits (even the tights and gloves!) and their handy goody bags. Sigh…I love it ๐Ÿ™‚ But now I am going to rest…and so will they. (They’re laid out on my sewing table, taking a much needed break…)

Minions will rule this October!!

Yeah Pixie Faire!!

For the love of dolls!

Going through a crazy time in my life and I need a place to chill, enjoy dolls and post what I’m up to, what I create with Liberty Jane patterns, and what helps me be positive. I LOVE American Girl dolls…not just what they look like, their fun clothes etc, but the fact that they encourage girls everywhere to reach UP and be their best. I like this…it’s applicable to me too!
